Multiplayer infrastructure with a wide, calm horizon.

From the Plateau-Mont-Royal, we build and operate game servers, matchmaking, and live-ops pipelines that stay smooth at 3 a.m. on launch night — so your players never feel the machinery underneath.

The studio

A small crew shaped by long launch nights.

SyncMysticCanvas.ink started as a two-person server rescue team and grew into a full game-IT studio serving indie and mid-size Canadian developers. We treat backend infrastructure like desert architecture — low, sturdy, and built to shrug off heat.

  1. 2016

    Founded on Rue Sainte-Catherine

Began as an on-call server team patching multiplayer backends for two Montréal indie studios during weekend launches.

  2. 2019

    First dedicated netcode practice

Shipped a rollback-netcode fighting title to 40k concurrent players and formalized our low-latency routing playbook.

  3. 2022

    Live-ops platform launch

Released our internal live-ops toolkit for events, telemetry, and hotfix rollouts, now running across 30+ titles.

  4. 2025

    Edge fleet across three regions

Expanded to Montréal, Toronto, and Vancouver edge nodes with automated failover and per-region cost controls.

How we work

Four steps from unstable build to steady launch.

01

Infrastructure audit

1–2 weeks · from CA$3,200

We map your current backend, netcode, and hosting spend, then hand you a plain-language report of every latency spike and single point of failure.

02

Server & netcode build

4–8 weeks · from CA$14,500

Dedicated authoritative servers, matchmaking, and rollback or lockstep netcode tuned for your genre and target regions.

03

Live-ops tooling

3–5 weeks · from CA$9,800

Event scheduling, feature flags, telemetry dashboards, and one-click hotfix rollout so your team ships during the game, not after it.

04

Launch & on-call

ongoing · from CA$1,900/mo

24/7 launch-window coverage from our Plateau studio, with automated failover, load tests, and a real engineer on the line — not a bot.

Player-one feedback

Studios who launched without holding their breath.

Our previous backend fell over at 8k players. SyncMysticCanvas rebuilt the matchmaking and we sailed through a 55k launch weekend without a single rollback.
Camille R.Technical Director, Aurora Drift · Montréal
They found a memory leak that had been crashing our servers for months in the first week. The audit alone paid for itself twice over.
Devon M.Co-founder, Northwind Games · Toronto
Their live-ops toolkit let our four-person team run a full seasonal event. That used to take an outside publisher and three weeks of lead time.
Priya S.Producer, Lantern Field · Vancouver
On launch night an engineer was on the call at 2 a.m. our time, calm as anything, rerouting traffic. That is worth every dollar.
